I'm Lkhamragchaa Lkhagvasuren, widely known as Ragchaa. I'm a Mongolian throat singer, musician and teacher from Ulaangom, Uvs Province, in western Mongolia.
My musical journey has been shaped by the rich traditions of western Mongolian throat singing. I had the privilege of studying under the renowned Mongolian throat singer E. Toivgoo, and have dedicated many years to performing and sharing this musical heritage.
Since 2005, I have performed internationally as a singer, throat singer and musician with the traditional music ensemble Altai Khairkhan, touring across Europe and Asia. From 2007 to 2016, I worked as a solo throat singer and traditional praise singer at the Mongolian National Academic Theatre of Arts. I also taught throat singing, magtaal and tovshuur at the International Khoomii School.
Over the years, I have taught countless students from Mongolia and abroad, helping them discover Mongolian throat singing and traditional music. Through my lessons, I enjoy sharing different vocal techniques, musical expressions and the cultural knowledge behind khöömei. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced singer, my aim is to help you develop your own voice while discovering the depth and beauty of Mongolian musical traditions.
