Our lesson programmes are designed to provide a consistent and structured learning experience. To make scheduling and coordination manageable for both students and teachers, we work with a few simple guidelines.
Each package includes a fixed number of private lessons per calendar month (see our lessons information page here).
All lessons included in a package must normally be used within the month for which the package is arranged. Unused lessons cannot be carried over, accumulated or exchanged for lessons in a future month.
Packages purchased during a calendar month will normally begin on the first day of the following full calendar month.
For example, if you purchase a package on 15 October, your programme will begin on 1 November. Your monthly lessons will then be scheduled and used throughout November.
This allows us to organise a consistent lesson schedule with your teacher.
Lessons are generally arranged in advance, with fixed dates and times agreed between you and your teacher for the duration of the programme.
If you have particular scheduling preferences, please let us know when making your enquiry. We will do our best to find a suitable arrangement.
Each private lesson is normally 60 minutes long.
Lessons may include practical exercises, vocal or instrumental training, demonstrations, explanations, presentations and discussions about musical techniques and traditions. All of these activities form part of the lesson.
Depending on the subject, exercises and individual learning process, a teacher may occasionally adjust the lesson duration. The teacher has the flexibility to adapt the session to what is most beneficial for the student. Our general aim, however, is to provide a full 60-minute lesson.
Payment is due at the beginning of each programme month, before the lessons take place.
You will receive an invoice from us, which can be paid through PayPal or by international bank transfer using an invoice issued by:

Your lessons and monthly schedule will be confirmed once the payment arrangements have been completed.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson, please inform us as early as possible.
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice when requesting a cancellation or rescheduling. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will normally be considered used and cannot be replaced.
If your teacher needs to cancel a lesson, we will do our best to arrange a replacement session within the same month.
We understand that unexpected situations can arise. Although our general policy is that unused lessons cannot be carried over to another month, we are happy to consider exceptional circumstances.
If you have a particular situation that affects your ability to attend your lessons, please contact us. We will always try to find a reasonable solution together with you and your teacher.
Monthly programmes are arranged one month at a time and do not automatically renew. If you wish to continue, simply let us know and we will coordinate the next month's schedule with your teacher.
