I'm Gaasuren Mungunshagai ("Shagai"Â in short), a Mongolian throat singer and professional morin khuur player. Music has been an important part of my life for many years, and the morin khuur has been my close companion for over 25 years.
As a professional musician with the Zaluuchuud Theatre in Darkhan, Mongolia, I have extensive experience performing traditional Mongolian music. I have also spent several years living in Germany, touring internationally with Hosoo & TransMongolia as a throat singer and morin khuur player.
Through my lessons, I teach Mongolian throat singing and morin khuur, sharing the techniques, musical expression, and traditions behind these art forms. I enjoy helping students develop their skills while discovering the richness of Mongolian musical heritage.
